Australian Wool Innovation (AWI), the research, development and marketing body of the Australian wool industry announced its new General Manager, Research.

Dr Jane Littlejohn, who has previously held the role of General Manager, On Farm Research at AWI, has been appointed to the role of General Manager, Research.

AWI CEO Stuart McCullough stated that “after a thorough search for suitable candidates for this significant role, I am delighted to welcome back Dr Littlejohn who is well known to woolgrowers. She has a strong and proven track record in managing this portfolio and delivering on farm results for the woolgrowers we serve.”

Dr Littlejohn returns to AWI having spent the last year managing the National Wild Dog Action Plan. She re-joins AWI with the company in a strong position, midway through its current Strategic Plan and the wool industry in general enjoying renewed optimism.

In congratulating Dr Littlejohn, Mr McCullough also thanked Dr Paul Swan for his 16 years of service to AWI.

“Paul is leaving the role but not the industry. He is looking to change gears in life and we look forward to his expertise continuing to help drive the industry forward in other ways. He has been a highly valued member of this company for a long time and I wish him all the very best for the future,” he added.
