AWTA Product Testing (an operating Division within AWTA Ltd) has acquired the Geelong based textile testing business Textile Quality Research Trademark Management (TQRTM). Mr Michael Jackson, AWTA Ltd’s Managing Director has explained the acquisition was part of a broader diversification and strategic plan, with TQRTM an important component for growing operations where independent testing is a necessary part of the value chain.

“TQRTM has operated for over 16 years in Geelong to provide textile testing and assist a variety of textile manufacturing companies and retailers,” Mr Jackson said. “They are a reputable and valued laboratory with a high level of quality testing and customer service, which fitted with our own business values.”

There will be no interruption to testing and current TQRTM director Adam Walters, will be employed by AWTA Product Testing to maintain the relationship with TQRTM’s clients and will oversee the transition to AWTA Product Testing, plus introduce the extensive product test range AWTA Product Testing has within its service offering. From the 1st May 2017, all prices and the current test range TQRTM provides will be conducted in AWTA Product Testing’s Melbourne Laboratory and testing of products will remain under the TQRTM brand.
