Outgoing BKB Managing Director Wolf Edmayr who retired at the end of last year has been replaced by Jonah Stumpf. The position of Managing Director was announced in a statement issued by BKB Chairman Chris Louw. Mr Louw commented that this was a transparent and thorough process and that the position attracted both internal and external candidates.

Jonah Stumpf holds a B. Eng (Industrial) (Cum Laude), B. Eng (Hon) (Industrial) and MBA (Cum Laude) degrees from the University of Pretoria and has extensive management experience in the agricultural and manufacturing sectors. He is currently a member of Mpact Ltd, the JSE listed packaging company’s executive committee, and is responsible for the paper packaging business within MPact. Prior to joining MPact he was Group Managing Director of the Klein Karoo Group, as well as Group Managing Director of the Sundays River Citrus company, both industry leaders in their respective agricultural sectors. In the early stages of his career he occupied various operational management roles including a stint at the South African Breweries.
