The second sale of the 2015 winter season took place in Port Elizabeth today, with 125 604kg’s on offer and 96.8% of the offering sold. The market could maintain its price levels, despite the current global economic uncertainty, with a weaker South African currency further supporting the market. The average market indicator closed unchanged from the previous sale on R183.62 per kg.

Competition amongst all the buying houses was good, especially for the better qualities on offer.

 

A highest price of R310.00 per kg was paid for a bale of 27 micron super style kid mohair.

Average Unchanged
