South Island only – 8601 bales were on offer. 76% sold. The selection consisted of mainly average/good style fleece and early shorn 35.0 to 38.0 micron.  Also available were good style lambs 29.5 to 30.5 micron.

 

There was very keen buying from China and from Europe, United Kingdom and Australasian carpet mills.

 

Fleece – all descriptions were 5% dearer. Early shorn and second shears were 5% dearer. All lambs generally 3.5% dearer. Combing skirting – all descriptions 9% dearer. Short oddments – all descriptions 9% dearer.
