Bales on offer 6452, Bales Sold 4727 (74%). The selection consisted of mainly good and good/average colour crossbred pre-lamb fleeces and a good selection of crossbred shears with a limited selection of lambs. There was also a small selection of halfbred fleece of generally good colour and a full range of oddments from full length combing to short good colour clothing style. The competition was from Europe and the United Kingdom with support from China, India and local carpet mills. Good colour and good/average colour up to 2% dearer. All types 3% cheaper. 26% Passed In.


Fine Crossbred Fleece 32 to 35 mic 4 to 5% dearer, Fine Crossbred Early Shorn 32 to 35 mic 3 to 5% dearer. Coarse Crossbred Fleece 36 to 39 mic average styles 3% dearer and poorer styles 7% dearer. Coarse Crossbred Early Shorn and Second Shear 35 to 39 mic 3/5 inch 7% dearer, 3/4 inch 5 to 8% dearer, 2/4 inch 5 to 8% dearer, 2/3 inch Firm. First Lambs 29.0 mic and coarser 2 to 3% dearer. Crossbred Oddments Good colour 2 to 3% dearer.


Main buyers: Masurel 1650 bales, NZWSI 700, Fuhrmann 590, G Modiano 560, J S Brooksbank 320, WG Robinson 300, Curtis 270, Chargeurs 250, Bloch & Behrens 200, Standard 125, J Marshall 100.


Next auction will be held on 10 August 2017. South Island offering an estimated 7,500 bales and North Island offering an estimated 8,800 bales.
