This year’s Wool Round Table will take place in Biella, Italy, Europe’s oldest woollen textile district. Only 80 km from Milan, it is the origin of the ‘Strada della Lana’ also known as ‘Italy’s wool route’.

From 28 to 29 November, IWTO members have the opportunity to discuss the wool industry’s vision for the future, focusing on education, while exploring growth opportunities together with wool growers as well as retailers.

Monday 28 November will focus on education, as part of the wool industry’s vision for the future. Day One’s discussions will connect the current champions of textile education, highlighting career opportunities and identifying potential skills gaps. Participants include agriculture, science, engineering, design, manufacturing and retail.

Tuesday 29 November will bring wool growers together with retailers to explore opportunities for growth with wool textiles. Sessions address current challenges to both wool grower and retailer, focusing on how sustainability and best practice can translate into increased market share, as well as the latest developments in wool LCA and wool wellness science.

The venue for this event is the Città Studi at  Agorà Palace Hotel
