The North Island was only selling with 12,500 bales on offer.  The selection was mainly poorer style fleece and lambs along with associated oddments.  There was keen competition with China and support from Europe, United Kingdom and Australian carpet mills.

Fleeces  – Poorer style fleece generally buyers favour. Second Shear – limited selection of good colour autumn shears sellers favour. Poorer style second shear fully firm.

Combing Lambs – Good colour lambs firm with finer microns fully 2.5% dearer.

Short Lambs – Good colour lambs firm with finer microns fully 2.5% dearer.

Combing Skirtings – All types tending buyers favour.

Short Oddments – All types including lambs seconds tending buyers favour.

10% Passed In. Next Auction – South Island only offering 10,600 bales on 5 April.
